Clip lavalier mic, plug-in receiver dongle
Why I kept it
The receiver lives in the port, so there is no Bluetooth menu between you and hitting record.
The catch
Outdoor wind still overwhelms it; the listing noise cancel is mostly marketing.

Questions
Do I need an app to use it?
Usually no—your camera or voice memo app sees it as the mic input once the receiver is plugged in. If your app lets you pick an audio source, choose the external mic.
Will a thick phone case block the receiver?
Sometimes. If the dongle is short, you may need a slim case or a short extension adapter so it seats fully.
How far can I move the mic from the phone?
A few meters indoors is typical. Walls, pockets, and your body between mic and receiver will cut range faster than the box suggests.
Is the noise canceling real?
Not in a pro sense. You get a closer mic on your chest, which helps more than any chip magic—especially in wind.
This is a clip-on lavalier mic that talks to a small receiver you plug into your phone or tablet. You get a stable link without pairing through Bluetooth settings every time you open the camera app.
I kept it for kitchen clips and desk voiceovers where the built-in mic sounds hollow. The dongle in the port is the whole trick.
Do not expect studio isolation or real wind rejection. The noise cancel claim is soft; treat it as a closer, clearer voice mic, not a field recorder.
